Upper Hillside Fun
Tyge’s breeder, Judy (Sleeping Lady Bouviers) lives way up on the Hillside (foothills, base of the mountains sort of thing). I grew up on the Hillside - the weather up there can be frightening: 60 mph winds are a regular occurence. 100+ mph winds blow several times a year.
Yesterday, I borrowed Hubert (Peter’s Lexus 300 SUV) to drop Tyge off up at Judy’s for a grooming. Well - I had forgotten how bad it can be when the weather turns nasty up there. The wind was blowing steady at 50 mph with much larger gusts. As a result, the road was either polished glass or heavily drifted. And of all days, the giant, very scary, snow plow/road grader was crawling up and down the steep roads. Hubert, Tyge, and I almost ended up the ditch 4 different times and had a very close call with the grader - even though it was 9:30 AM, all three of us needed a stiff drink after we were almost flattened by the grader as it backed up in the middle of the blizzard.
Here’s a picture of the grader - headed back towards us. I think it looks like some very scary sci-fi alien monster.

Hello. I am
Cool picture. Next time hold off on the grooming?
Didn’t you get a new camera for Chrismakah?
