Who Says It’s Spring?!
Today’s Daily News Headline was Winter Overstays Its Welcome. It’s cold and breakup hasn’t even started. According to the National Weather Service, this March will tie for the fourth coldest March on record. I’m sure Mom can attest to that - it’s still below zero every morning at the Mom abode. However, I will say the afternoons have been wonderful - the temperature warms up to the high twenties. We even nosed above freezing yesterday and Tuesday. But we probably won’t make it today.
I think we’ll have substantial snow on the ground well into April and quite possibly into May. There is no way that the Lagoon Ice will go out in April - not unless a serious low pressure system takes up residence for several weeks.
Well, at least the Spring skiing will be awesome this year.
