On the way to Vegas (baby)

I’m in the midst of making my way to Las Vegas for the The Cablehttp://www.thecableshow.com/ Show. I’m definitely doing the milk run thing. Scheduling and pricing was such that flying via Juneau was about $300 cheaper. So, I spent a few hours this afternoon in our capitol city’s very little airport. I have to say that there is probably no other state capitol even remotely like Juneau. A small town (~31,000 people) with some of the most spectacular scenery anywhere.

As I type, I’m in Seattle in the Alaska Airlines Boardroom. All flights into Las Vegas are delayed because of high winds. sigh…It has been a very long travel day and I’m still pretty wobbly from my surgery. Fortunately, I have tomorrow off - my conference doesn’t start until Sunday morning. I had thought I might rout out of bed tomorrow morning and go to Caesar’s for the Kentucky Derby. But at this point, I may watch the Derby from my bed.
