Plato and Tyge are on Page One of the Wall Street Journal!!!!!

Oooh Oooh!!!! Tyge, Plato and I have made the big time! We’re on page one of the Wall Street Journal!!!!

The WSJ is running an article entitled, When Dogs and Robots Collide Somebody Needs, a Talking To. This article has been in the works for several months - I was interviewed back in February. So, it’s quite exciting to see it in print. We’re mentioned near the bottom of the article.

I have to say that I regret not recounting one particular incident to the reporter. Tyge was laying on the floor outside my office minding his own business. Plato was wandering around in his usual toddering way and I was not paying attention. All at once, I heard a surprised yelp and Tyge bolted up. I looked over and it was clear from Plato’s position that he had bumped into Tygey’s “sensitive region.” Tyge grumbled and stomped off. Plato looked very innocent.

It’s funny - today, I’m in the Denver area at a Cable Labs VoIP summit/workshop digging into the bowels of SIP protocols. The guy next to me is laughing because I started bouncing up and down in my chair when I found out the article was published.

Anyhoo, Tyge and Plato want to buy several copies of the paper to give to their friends. Although Tyge is a bit grumpy that Plato was the impetus for the article. Tyge feels that he’s very interesting and worthy of a page one article all on his own.

UPDATE: Tyge and Plato’s picture is on Page One of the technology section! (It’s my guess that picture will only be displayed for today).
