Palin?!
Jaw dropping. Sarah as Veep nominee is simply jaw dropping. Tygey and I just got back from his morning constitutional and the reaction on the street (literally) was total agog-ness. My Republican and Democratic neighbors alike were all just stunned. No one thought it made any sense at all.
Unfortunately, for Sarah, I think she’ll end up as John McCain’s Dan Quayle. Oh - and the Vice Presidential debates: Joe Biden vs. Sarah Palin. Oh my.

As Peter’s daughter Alix asked, if McCain wanted to a choose an Alaskan Republican woman as his Veep, why didn’t he choose Lisa?

Your last sentence was my first comment during her speech this morning. Biden will chew her up and spit her out in the VP debate. He’s been in Washington since she was about 10 years old.
I have been sitting at my desk on the edge of my seat waiting for you to blog on this. So far the reaction in our republican town (ok not too many yet) think it is a good thing. It seems to me that the two tickets are pretty even. Both with an old school and both with a young inexperienced. The difference being in which position. Should be interesting.
I like Gov. Palin. As for Sen. Biden chewing her up? What makes you think that? Everything I’ve heard from her sounds pretty good.
She sounded pretty solid when I listened to her…but still. I dunno.
