Pilgrimage to Geocaching Headquarters!

This afternoon at 2:00 PM, Scott and I pilgrimaged to Groundspeak, the parent organization/sponsor of Geocaching. The Lily Pad is located here in Seattle. On Friday afternoons, they open up, by appointment, to geocachers who want to visit.

The visit was a real treat. We were taken on a tour, chatted with employees who are as excited about geocaching as the rest of us, and each of us were given a very special Groundspeak Lackey geocoin. The Groundspeak folks definitely go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome.

Here I am with the world’s largest geocoin:

And here’s Scott looking very dashing!

How exciting you finally got to go. Looks like you had a good time.

  2. Scott responds:

As I mentioned in my (very late post) log, it’s quite appropriate that I headed to Groundspeak HQ with the very same SlatRat who got me addicted to geocaching…

    That was fun!
