Visiting the Kansas Family Roots and Geocaching

I’m in Kansas for my annual alumni meetings at Southwestern which start tomorrow. I spent this afternoon geocaching and also drove through Grenola where our family ranch was located. The day was gorgeous - nothing beats late Fall in the Flint Hills.

Time to subject my vast readership to this year’s collection of Kansas photographs.

A classic red barn with a very nifty door.

A very old windmill. The Aermotor - what a great name for a windmill.
Also, I note that Kansans, just like Alaskans, simply can’t resist shooting at metal sign like objects.

Love the name!
