Peter Gets Punked

Tonight we’re in Fort Meyers visiting The Suze (Peter’s sister). We had dinner at Blu Sushi - hands down the best sushi I’ve ever had.

Blu Sushi is also a favorite of Peter’s brother Jeff. Jeff lives in Fairbanks and right now is enjoying a very temperate -44 F. Peter took a phone pic of our Blu Sushi plate and emailed it off to Jeff. Jeff responded by calling the restaurant manager at Blu Sushi. The manager then came by our table asking for Uncle Peter. We all got a good laugh at that. We continued on with dinner.

By the end of dinner we were all beached, stuffed, and chatting. All at once, Pooh got a very funny look on his face and then BLAM!!!!!! The manager and staff appeared from around the corner with a flaming desert and a giant bongo drum and proceeded to serenade Peter with a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. The entire restaurant broke out into applause. And of course, it’s not Peter’s birthday. Peter got royally punked by Jeff. Great fun!!!! And a definitely a tough one to top.

Here’s our Sushi Plate. You can see why Jeff was driven to retaliate.

The Japanese Crews took Jan and I to Blue Sushi toward the end of Spring Training year before last. The year of Dice-K. Very good indeed.

I’m sorry I missed this trip for a variety of reasons. But the Uncle Peter incident is definitely at the top of the list.
