Mt. Redoubt from my Office Window

It’s not everyone whose office view includes an active volcano steaming away. Yesterday was a gorgeous day in Anchorage. The mountains and volcanos were crystal clear. Below is a shot I took of Mt. Redoubt from my office window. It’s kind of nifty. But what I really need is a 400 mm telephoto and a rooftop vantage point. I’m actually considering renting a lens on the next sharp clear day.

I don’t know if you are aware of this or not, but if you rent a long lens like that, spring for a mono-pond or tripod that can hold it as well.

  2. Leland responds:

Err… mono-pod… A long stick, not a small body of water.

Lensrentals.com will treat you well. Have used them twice now and been very impressed.
