Westchester Lagoon Status

Below is a series of pictures taken yesterday morning. At that point, I figured we had days to go before the ice heads out. However, we almost set a record high yesterday. Today, I think we’ll break the record high of 64 degrees set in 1965. I peered out at the Lagoon a few hours ago. Where, yesterday there had been solid ice, today there’s water. There are still large areas of ice out on the Lagoon. But I have a feeling, it may go out tomorrow. Pretty unbelievable.
