Mornings with Echo
As anyone who’s ever had a puppy knows, mornings are not dull. Puppies are very happy to greet the day and get on with their puppy business.
Echo has five morning jobs:
- Wake everyone up - these days, usually around 6:00 AM
- Zoom outside to do minor business (and supervise Tyge as he also tends to his minor business)
- Gobble up breakfast
- Do a family walk with me, Tyge, and Peter and take care of major business while on walk.
- Fetch the morning paper!!!!
From almost day one, Echo has been fascinated with the paper. She started trying to grab it when it was bigger than she was. Once she’d get a hold of it, she’d proudly trot right on inside. Now, every single morning she gets the paper - even the Sunday paper which is particularly hefty. How perfect is this?!!! It’s really going to come in handy on cold winter days.

This morning, Echo snagged a roll of toilet paper from the bathroom. She was quite excited and zoomed all over the house with before settling in to destroy it.
